In this video I show how to make a bee hotel from recycled wood and bamboo. Insects are one of the cornerstones of any ecosystem and by encouraging them into your garden, park or woodland you will be providing a source of pest control as well as prey for other garden wildlife. The box made in this video has different sized holes drilled into the main wooden block from 8mm to 5mm diameter and will be suitable for solitary bee and wasp species along with a wide variety of beetles including ladybirds. If you have materials and are unsure on what you can make with them, leave a comment below with what you have available and I will get back to you with some ideas.
